We are specifically LGBTQIA+ Affirming in all of our work. Here, you won’t have to worry about needing to educate or “convince” anyone of your identity. Jennifer is an expert in this area and frequently trains other mental health clinicians in how to be LGBTQIA+ Affirming.
There are many ways to process trauma, recover from mental health struggles, and heal from negative situations. We like to include as much hands-on expression into therapy as each client wants, from coloring or doodling on the couch to painting on a canvas
The way your brain works and processes information is crucial to how you experience the world and how you will be able to be successful in your own therapy. We know that there are many different neurotypes and many different ways each neurotype can be expressed.
Animals offer humans many benefits, lowering blood pressure and heart rate, increasing connection with others, and providing additional sensory experiences. When possible, we incorporate work with our animal partner Eben into our therapy.
All of our work is grounded in an understanding that most people have experienced difficult things in their lifetime. Everyone processes these challenges in their own way. We want to understand you, what you’ve been through, and how you want to heal.
Connecting with nature can happen in many different ways and has positive benefits for us humans. Time in nature or with natural objects/ images can enhance your therapy experience. Ask us about walk and talk sessions and other ways we include nature in our work.
